Your Role as an Employee Benefits Business Development Manager

The Employee Benefits Business Development Manager is responsible for building, maintaining and retaining a book of group insurance business effectively using direct prospecting efforts for book growth and development, as well as becomes proficient with the various resources available from RENOMIA BENEFIT to help attract and retain customers.

Your Essential Functions

  • Identify, develop and educate customer demand for RENOMIA BENEFIT solutions while building opportunities to expand our book of business.
  • Direct prospecting for new customers, developing prospecting programs, executing sales campaigns of sophisticated EB solutions and services using all means available including, but not limited to, direct phone calls, drop-in calls, networking, social media, and referrals to generate and maintain an active client pipeline.
  • Responsible for collecting appropriate and accurate data from group prospects to negotiate and obtain proposals from insurance companies.
  • Identify and communicate potential cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by the company.
  • Keep abreast of trends and techniques to maintain a competitive status for the company.
  • Attend sales seminars and educational training activities needed to improve sales techniques, stay up to date on the latest developments in the marketplace.
  • May develop a team handling a portfolio of our prospect's business.
  • Lead and deliver high level of client service in line with service standards of the company.

Knowledge, skills, abilities

  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills
  • Strong knowledge of corporate group EB products including, but not limited to, medical insurance, life and accident insurance, international medical and critical illness insurance, other voluntary products.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, prospects, insurers, across all levels.
  • Ability to understand a client or prospect’s business, situation, problems and key issues
  • Ability to promote, and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for our customers.
  • Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Strong aspiration for continuous professional growth and development
  • Ability to travel, as needed.

Qualification

  • 5-7 years previous Employee Benefits sales experience preferred
  • 5-7 years previous sales, marketing, underwriting experience in an insurance company or brokerage firm preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business or other related discipline preferred
  • Fluency in English Language (verbal and written)
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office Applications).
